PADMA     AWARDS
108 personalities selected for 2013
Delhi's haul at the Padma Awards has increased considerably from last year. Of the 108 Padma awards, 21 were claimed by Delhiites and the number is 22 if you count Prof. Yashpal who now lives in Noida.
The lion's share of Padma awards this year has gone to Maharashtra, which got 25 awards.
The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), which has often been criticized for huge time and cost overruns in critical defence projects, also struck it rich in the annual Padma awards this year.
