Without any delay, BJP should announce Modi as its prime ministerial candidate
India needs a change in guard at the Centre, and Narendra Modi
sounds a better choice. BJP should go ahead, notwithstanding the opinion
expressed by its partners. The party will not get another chance like
this. The forthcoming general election of 2014 is very different when we
deeply analyse it.
The Nehru-Gandhi dynasty is still hungry for power. They could not bear
the five years when PV Narasimha Rao ruled who afterwards was called
father of economical reforms of this country. Had he not ruled India during those difficult days, the country would have not been in this commanding position in the world.

ఆతడి కాంక్ష తీరలేదు
ఇకముందూ తీరేట్టు లేదు!
ఆఫ్టరాల్ 64 రోజులు నడిస్తేనే రాజశేఖర్రెడ్డి అనేవాడికి రాజ్యాధికారం ఎగిరొచ్చి వొళ్లో వాలింది. మరి మహానాయకుడు నారా నాయుడు ఇప్పటికే అంతకు రెట్టింపు రోజులు నడిచాడు. ఇంకా నడుస్తూనే ఉన్నాడు. రా.రెడ్డి 1500 కిలోమీటర్ల లోపలే నడక చాలిస్తే నా.నాయుడు 2000 కిలోమీటర్ల తరవాత కూడా సాగుతూనే ఉన్నాడు. కాళ్లకు, వేళ్లకు గాయాలైనా, డాక్టర్లు వద్దన్నా, మీడియా భక్తులు కళ్లనీళ్లు పెట్టుకున్నా ఆగకుండా తిరుగుతూనే ఉన్నాడు. 1500 కిలోమీటర్ల వాడికి ఒక జాక్పాట్ తగిలితే దానికి డబుల్ దూరంవాడికి న్యాయంగా డబుల్ జాక్పాట్ చిక్కాలికదా?
అందునా బాబు పడుతున్నదేమైనా ఆషామాషీ కష్టమా? చూపిస్తున్నదేమన్నా అల్లాటప్పా టాలెంటా? రెడ్డిగారి యాత్రలో ఒక అచ్చటా లేదు. ముచ్చటా లేదు. పంచ ఎగగట్టి, చేవెళ్లనుంచి ఇచ్ఛాపురందాకా ఒకటే నడక. అదే నాయుడుగారి వాకింగులో ఎన్ని బస్సులు? ఎన్ని ఫాన్సీడ్రస్సులు? ఎనె్నన్ని స్పెషలెఫెక్టులు?
ఓ చోట పులివేషం. ఇంకో ఊళ్లో క్రిస్మస్ తాత గెటప్. అలాగే ఈతచెట్టు ఎక్కాడు. కల్లుముంత దింపాడు. బోనం ఎత్తాడు. బతకమ్మ ఆడాడు. గాజులబుట్ట పట్టాడు. ట్రాక్టరు ఎక్కాడు. పొలం దున్నాడు. బాణం వేశాడు. గదను తిప్పాడు. వలలు విసిరాడు. బజ్జీలు వేశాడు. వేసిన వేషం వెయ్యకుండా, చెప్పిన డైలాగు చెప్పకుండా మిత్ర మీడియా వాద్యసహకారంతో బహుదూరపు బాటసారి ఎన్ని విన్యాసాలు చేశాడు? ఎవరూ అడక్కుండానే ఎన్ని వరాలు గుప్పించాడు? తల్లి కాంగ్రెసునూ, పిల్లకాంగ్రెసునూ తిట్టిన తిట్టు తిట్టకుండా ఎంత చక్కని భాషలో ఎన్ని తిట్లు తిట్టాడు?
ఏంలాభం? సినిమా అతిరథులను, మీడియా మహారథులను సంప్రదించి, పాదయాత్రలో అదనపు ఆకర్షణలు ఎన్ని ప్రవేశపెట్టినా కాలం కర్మం కలిసిరావడమే లేదు. 2009 ఎన్నికల పరాభవం దరిమిలా 42 అసెంబ్లీ, 2 లోక్సభ ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో ఏ ఒక్కటీ గెలవలేక, అత్యధిక స్థానాల్లో ధరావతు మొత్తాలను జయప్రదంగా కోల్పోయిన పార్టీకి నాయకుడు ఏ దిశన నడిచినా రాజకీయ దశ తిరగడమే లేదు. బాబు ‘వస్తున్నా మీకోసం’ అంటుంటే గిట్టని వారికి ‘వస్తున్నా నాకోసం’ అని వినపడుతున్నది. పెదబాబు యాత్రవల్ల అన్ని పార్టీలు కంగారుపడుతున్నాయని, నగదు బదిలీ, రుణమాఫీలాంటి ఐడియాలను తమ నుంచే కేంద్రం కొట్టేస్తున్నదని చినబాబు ట్విట్టేష్ ఎంత నమ్మకంగా ట్వీటితేనేమి? పాత్రయాత్రకు 50... 100... 500 కిలోమీటర్లు పూర్తయినందుకు సంబరంగా ఎన్ని కేకులు కోస్తేనేమి? వెయ్యి కిలోమీటర్లకు గుర్తుగా 65 లక్షల రూపాయల ఖర్చుతో ఏకంగా వంద అడుగుల విజయస్తంభమే వేయిస్తేనేమి? అభిమాన నాయకుడు నడుస్తూంటే భూమి దద్దరిల్లుతున్నదనీ, శత్రువుల కాళ్ల కింద నేల కదులుతున్నదనీ అస్మదీయ మీడియా ఎంత కనికట్టు చేస్తేనేమి? అవార్డు సినిమా జనాన్ని ఆకట్టుకోనట్టుగా మీడియా మోహించిన నేతను ప్రజలు నెత్తికెత్తుకుంటున్న దాఖలాల్లేవు. నాయకుడు ముందుకు నడిచేకొద్దీ పార్టీ తమ్ముళ్లు వెనక్కి జారుకుంటున్నారు. పాదయాత్ర 140వ రోజుకు చేరేసరికి ఆరుగురు ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, ప్లస్ ఒక ఎమ్మెల్సీ పార్టీకి సలాంకొట్టి శత్రు పక్షంలోకి దూకేశారు.
వరసగా రెండు విడతలు రాజ్యమేలాక ఏ పార్టీకైనా సాధారణంగా ప్రజా వ్యతిరేకత తప్పదు. అందునా ఇప్పుడున్న పరిస్థితుల్లో ఎన్నికలు గెలిచి మళ్లీ అధికారం అందుకోగలమన్న ధీమా కాంగ్రెసు పార్టీలోనే చాలామందికి లేదు. పాలకపక్షం డీలా పడ్డప్పుడు సర్వసాధారణంగా లాభపడేది ప్రధాన ప్రతిపక్షమే. ప్రధాన ప్రతిపక్ష పార్టీ ఏదన్నదే ఇప్పుడు సమస్య. అసెంబ్లీ బలాబలాలనుబట్టి చూస్తే 80 పైగా స్థానాలుగల బాబు దేశమే ఇప్పటికీ పెద్ద విపక్షం. ఆధికారికంగా కేవలం 18 సీట్లుగల వైకాపా దాని దరిదాపులకు కూడా రాలేదు. మునుపటి ఎన్నికల్లో కాంగ్రెసును గెలిపించిన వై.ఎస్. సమ్మోహన శక్తి అవినీతి స్కాముల గుట్ల రట్టు దరిమిలా సన్నగిల్లింది. వై.ఎస్. వారసత్వానికి ఏకైక హక్కుదారునని చెప్పుకునే వై.కా.పా. నాయకుడికి అవినీతి కేసుల బెడద, ఎంతకీ వదలని చెర -పెద్ద మైనస్ పాయింట్లు. ఇలాంటి పరిస్థితుల్లో పాలనానుభవం బొత్తిగా లేని... అవినీతి మకిలి అంటిన చిన్నవాడి కంటే పరిపాలనా దక్షుడిగా పేరుగడించిన చంద్రబాబే నయమన్న అభిప్రాయం మామూలుగా అయితే ప్రజలకు కలగాలి. అవినీతికి, అక్రమాలకు, అంతఃకలహాలకు అంతులేని కాంగ్రెస్ జమానాకంటే బాబు పాలనే చాలా మెరుగన్న అభిప్రాయం మధ్యతరగతి, మేధావి వర్గాల్లో ఇప్పటికే నాటుకుంది. ఇలాంటి అనుకూలాంశాల మూలంగా గెలుపు తథ్యమన్న విశ్వాసం చంద్రబాబుకు ఏకోశాన ఉన్నా అధికారం కోసం వచ్చే సాధారణ ఎన్నికల దాకా ఆగనక్కర్లేదు.
తాజాగా 9 మంది బహిష్కరణ దరిమిలా అధికార పార్టీ మైనారిటీలో పడిపోయింది. దానిని ఆదుకోవటానికి మజ్లిస్ సహా ఏ ఒక్కపార్టీ సిద్ధంగా లేదు. ఇప్పుడున్న బలాబలాల్లో బాబు తలచుకుంటే అవిశ్వాస తీర్మానం పెట్టి ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ఓడగట్టగలడు. మధ్యంతర ఎన్నికలను తెచ్చిపెట్టగలడు. అవకాశం ఉండి కూడా అందుకు అపర కౌటిల్యుడు సాహసించటం లేదు. తాను అవిశ్వాసం తెచ్చి ఇతరులను కూడగట్టాల్సింది పోయి... ఇతర పార్టీలు ముందుకొచ్చినా ప్రభుత్వాన్ని పడగొట్టేందుకు చేయి కలపటం లేదు. తెలంగాణలో తెరాస, సీమాంధ్రలో వైకాపాల ధాటికి ఎక్కడ చితికిపోతామోనన్న భయమే బాబును వెనక్కి లాగుతున్నదని పోల్చుకోవటానికి దివ్యదృష్టి అక్కర్లేదు. ఈ గుంజాటనవల్లే కాంగ్రెసు సర్కారు కూలకుండా నారా వారు కాపాడుకు వస్తూండవచ్చు. కాంగ్రెసుతో కుమ్మక్కయ్యారన్న నిందకు చేజేతులా తామే ఆస్కారం ఇచ్చేటప్పుడు ప్రధాన ప్రతిపక్షం నీతి, నిజాయతీల మీద ప్రజలకు గురి ఎలా కుదురుతుంది? ప్రభుత్వం మనుగడకు పరోక్షంగా అతడే కొమ్ముకాస్తున్నాడన్న అనుమానాలు ఉన్నప్పుడు... ఈ ప్రభుత్వం ఒక్క క్షణమైనా కొనసాగటానికి వీల్లేదంటూ పాదయాత్రలో బాబు వేసే రంకెలను ఎవరు మాత్రం ఎందుకు సీరియస్గా పరిగణిస్తారు? అన్నీ ఉన్నాయి కాని అయిదోతనమే లేదన్నట్టు అసలైన విశ్వసనీయతే కొరవడినప్పుడు ఎంతదూరం నడిచి, ఎన్ని వేషాలు వేసి, ఎన్ని వరాలు ఇచ్చి మాత్రం ఏమిటి లాభం?

108 personalities selected for 2013
Delhi's
haul at the Padma Awards has increased considerably from last year. Of the 108
Padma awards, 21 were claimed by Delhiites and the number is 22 if you count
Prof. Yashpal who now lives in Noida.
The
lion's share of Padma awards this year has gone to Maharashtra, which got 25
awards.
The
Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), which has often been
criticized for huge time and cost overruns in critical defence projects, also
struck it rich in the annual Padma awards this year.
DRDO
chief Vijay Kumar Saraswat, who is also the scientific adviser to the defence
minister, and the BrahMos CEO A Sivathanu Pillai have both been awarded the
Padma Bhushan.

chief controller Research and Development (Missiles and Strategic Systems)
Avinash Chander has been honoured with the Padma Shri.
All
the three defence scientists have been engaged in the development of missile
systems, both strategic and tactical, for several years.

Lack of society's responsibility costs many lives in Inida: Nirbhaya's life is a lesson
Though
we are lagging behind in literacy the Indian people are very
responsible. But in the recent days that responsibility is rarely seen.
The main hurdle for the people's unwillingness to help people in
distress is police harassment. What the police want is to avoid
registering a case.

India ranks 94th Denmark places first
India's image on tackling corruption
has not improved with Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index
(CPI) placing it at 94th rank out of 176 nations this year.
Though India was ranked at 95th
position last year, the international watchdog said it has started evaluating
the positions through a different formula beginning this year and hence this
cannot be compared to last year's ranking.
However, the last year's rank of 95
would be 96 if it is calculated using the new methodology which implies there
was a "slight improvement" in the index.
This year, India has a score of 36
out of 100 on a scale from 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean) which is a
result of an average of 10 studies including World Bank's Country Performance
and Institutional Assessment and Global Insight Country Risk Ratings.
India was ranked 72 among 180
countries for the first time in 2007 and since then the country's rankings have
been showing a decline. While India was placed at 87 in 2010, the position was
95 in 2011.
This year, India is ranked below neighboring countries like Sri Lanka and China, while Afghanistan, Iran,
Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh fared much worse than India when it came to
corruption in public sector undertakings.
Sri Lanka, which is slowly limping
back to normalcy after a three-decade civil war, is ranked at 79 while China is
ranked at 80.
Denmark is placed at the top spot
with a score of 90 while Finland and New Zealand follow very closely. Countries
that occupy the bottom ranks in the index are Myanmar, Sudan Afghanistan,
